Resonance-based work for people who feel stuck, when talking doesn't help

I do 'parts work' but I work with the nervous system, not the story. So my work does not require your parts to speak, analyse, or re-live trauma.

Understanding 'why' isn't always enough

Which is what brought me to train in Internal Family Systems (IFS). Many people come to therapy, or coaching already self-aware. They understand their patterns, their triggers. They know their history. For sure many 'light-bulb' moments happen in therapy and yet nothing fundamentally changes.

The 'parts-work' of IFS recognises an 'internal system' made up of many facets of ourself. These parts are often in conflict, with competing agendas, and this is where we feel the internal tension. Meeting each part and understanding what it needs, what it still believes about itself is key to real change.

A different entry point

But IFS can put the system under some demand - performance anxiety, a need for 'parts' to respond to the IFS protocol. For many people this demand becomes the block, quietly adding conviction to the parts that already believed themselves 'broken' or 'beyond help'.

My work uses 'resonance' rather than dialogue, rather than somatics even. Instead of asking parts to speak, express or narrate, I attune myself to the parts that are present through the relational field. Your only role becomes witness.

This approach is particularly supportive for people who:

  • feel blank, confused, or flooded in sessions

  • struggle to 'access' inner voices, felt sensation or memories

  • have done a lot of talking and gained insight, yet still feel no relief or change

  • carry diffuse, early, or unnamed trauma

This work will simply call you gently to be with what is.

How I work

I work in short 1:1 Resonance sessions, in person or online.

I will resonate for what is present in you and you will simply meet and witness what comes forward. Then we will have a small space to process together. Processing is kept purposefully short as we all typically have parts who will want to take the work away from the nervous system and up into the head/talking space again, and this can detract from the work.

Over 5 - 10 sesssions your system will start to gently reorganise itself without any need for pathologising.

I also host group retreats for those who wish to work with me over a concentrated period.

If something in you already feels more settled

Then it's likely your nervous system is seeking this calm witnessing and re-calibration. Even if you're not sure why, you are welcome to reach out.

There's nothing you need to prepare...you don't even need to repeat your history or explain your story.
