When the Full Moon Rises Through You: A Reading for the Ascendant & the Soul

When the Full Moon rises through the window of your soul, it doesn’t just light the sky—it reveals you to yourself. This Full Moon lands directly in my Sagittarius Ascendant, illuminating my 1st house of self, identity, and becoming. But it also activates something even deeper: my North Node in Sagittarius—my soul’s true direction. As I walk the often uncertain terrain of healing, shaping my modality, and finding how I can truly be of service, I turned to tarot to help me see what this moment is trying to show me. This lunation feels like a sacred checkpoint—a light cast not just over my life, but through it. It touches my Pilgrim’s Journey, the soul path that calls me toward authenticity, freedom, and courageous expansion. If you're someone who feels the moon speaking directly to you tonight—especially if you have Sagittarius Rising or a Sagittarius North Node—this reading may reflect something essential for your own journey, too.

My Energy - what do I bring of myself into this Full Moon?

I choose my direction with devotion. This path is unrelentingly hard. This is the hardest period of my life. Somehow I keep going. Somehow it feels right to keep going and the energy seems to come from somewhere. I have no choice honestly, this is my path and all I can do is walk it until I reach the end or I drop. Even when I am barely crawling, The Chariot holds me in alignment and those horses keep pulling me forward by sheer will.

The Inner Fire - What is remembered and reignited?

I see a vision of myself birthing something. And this card is all about new ideas and new projects. This moon will reignite my creative fire and help me discover new aspects of life and myself. Life is filled with surprises and the Page of Cups tells me that something is coming to help me remember why I'm on this Sagittarius Pilgrims Path.

The Aim – Where am I being asked to direct my energy and intention?

The Leap of Faith of 9 of Water. I am directed to continue to push my energy into this direction based on faith and determination alone. A salmon leaping upstream over boulders and up waterfalls - mastering realms of Air, Water and mystery, defying distance and gravity, battling the currents, overcoming exhaustion and fear. It seems there is a strength within me that defies all logic and expectation. I really didn't know I had so much strength honestly. A pilgrimage as old as time in underway.

The Shadow Belief – What limiting belief or old truth needs to be released?

The Queen of Cups and Water are both deeply emotional cards, messages that I am someone intuitive, caring, wise and deeply in tune with my emotions and the emotions of those around me. This is the healers card. The card of someone who feels their way into situations through the waters of life. I am guided to trust my inner guidance. The idea that I can't is what I must release. It's old belief this one - that I'm not worthy, that my guidance and intuition is just coincidence, a fluke. This lack of belief limits me and keeps me small.

The Wild Medicine – What gift or resource is awakening to support me now?

Healing through Play, Joy, and Emotional Reciprocity. Otter medicine in 2 of Water. I'm being offered the resource of emotional attunement that does not drain me—playful, free, instinctive connection. And The Meadow: the spiritual wildness of vulnerability: the willingness to stay soft, even when my instinct is to brace.

The Path Forward – How can I walk with more truth, courage, and freedom?

The Craftsperson card in 8 of Pentacles and Rebirth - again a message to keep moving forward, keep showing up with my work, with the sacred task in front of me every day. Through my work life will leap forward within me. The unmaking is finally turning to making. A turning point in the Pilgrims Path is just up ahead. Spirit allies appear and I dance to the rhythm of returning and rejoicing.

Divine Blessing – A message from Spirit, Ancestors, or my Higher Self

A reminder with Sub Rosa that I'm here to uncover the mysteries of life. Secrets are waiting to be found. I'm being called to live the great questions and step into my role as a teacher, a guide and a mystic. This is the card of the Pilgrim's Journey - this moon, my ascendent and my North Node.

Like the Mother Bear in 2 of Earth I'm asleep and dreaming within the womb of earth, but the time of hibernation of closing and soon it's time to stretch and yawn, like her cub, and pad out to see the beauty of the new day.
