The Bone Temple

A ritual constellation guided by Black Moon Lilith — to meet the shadow you’ve been taught to fear, banish, or betray

The mythology of Lilith: first wife of Adam, created from the earth alongside him. Equal and independent she refused to submit to Adam, asserting her own will and independence. She was banished from the Garden of Eden, cast out into shadow and myth.

But she would not disappear, she returns as the snake, as the temptress. She became bones, she became howl, she is the part of you that is banished into shadow - unacceptable, criticized, misunderstood. But that will not lie down.

Astrogically Black Moon Litilth does not exist, she is a location, not a planet. A void, an absence, a dark place.

She now represents the extraordinary power of (re-)claiming our identity.

Our shadow frightens us terribly - it lurks beneath, entertwinned with shame.

Black Moon Lilith brings us face to face with the shadows we were taught to exile, repress, or deny — especially in order to survive in a culture that fears the wild, the feminine, the powerful, the angry, and the knowing.

Some common Black Moon Lilith Shadows you might be working with:

The Repressed Rage

“I’m not allowed to be angry. If I let it out, I’ll destroy everything.”

• Rage turned inward as self-blame or depression

• Fear of being "too much," aggressive, unloveable

• Rage that was inherited or never expressed (e.g. mother’s silenced fury)

The Exiled Primal Self

(common in the feminine but becoming increasingly common for the masculine)

“I can’t be wild, sexual, loud, or free — it’s not safe.”

• Sensuality or sexuality shamed, hidden, or punished

• Fear of being uncontrolled, seductive, dominant, or “bad”

• Loss of instinct or an intuition to please/comply/submit

The Truth-Teller’s Curse

“If I speak, I’ll lose everything.”

• Silencing in childhood or family system

• Carrying truths that others don’t want to hear

• Internalised shame around being “difficult,” “intense,” or “too honest”

The Forbidden Gifts

“My knowing, my vision, my magic — I buried it.”

• Psychic, intuitive, or creative power locked away

• Fear of being called mad, manipulative, dangerous

• Often replaced with logic, academia, caregiving, or niceness

The Devouring Mother / Feminine Wound

“I don’t trust women. I don’t trust myself.”

• Rejection or distortion of the feminine line

• Merging, control, boundary violation in motherline

• Deep fear of becoming like her / being destroyed by her

1. Descent & Naming

We begin in silence, with black salt or shadow herbs, a candle, and an invocation to Lilith.
You are invited to name what you fear to name.

“This is the part of me I was told not to be.”
“This is the part I have punished or denied.”

No analysis. No explanation. Just truth at the threshold.

2. The Shadow Constellation

As the field opens, we may meet:

• A banished soul part carrying rage, erotic energy, or knowing

• A protector who has made you small, soft, or silent to stay safe

• An ancestral imprint of shame, control, or punishment

• A powerful feminine or primal energy waiting to return

We move into symbolic placement, embodied knowing, tarot, or object work.
This is not gentle.
But it is holy.

You will not need to justify your shadow.
You will be invited to see her or him. Welcome them. Listen.

3. Closing Ritual: The Bone Offering

We end with a ritual gesture —
burning a binding, digging up the bones, anointing the body, naming a vow.

You will be witnessed in your reclamation —
we will discover the power that has always been yours, and how you can hold it without burning.

Ritual Flow

Lilith doesn’t want you to “heal” these shadows so you fit back into a system that rejected you.
She wants you to reclaim them.
